Your Windshield Is My Canvas

From Meera:
"Your Windshield Is My Canvas" is a series of photographs that began with one shot -- the first time I looked at, and really saw, the branches that appear reflected in the glass of nearly every car parked in my tree-lined urban neighborhood. We suffer through long, dreary winters in New England, and the sharp lines of naked trees, like twisting dendrites, are one of the most beautiful things to be found outside during our grey months. So I took one photograph, worked on it in post-processing to bring out the shapes of the reflections and to add the colors and crazy tones of light that they seemed to want to be surrounded by, and then the project kind of snowballed (pun entirely intended). These eight images are my favorites, but every day since, I can't help but see more reflections waiting to be transformed --and I can do it without my camera now, in my mind's eye.
